Darrell & Shannon - first time for EXTENDED missions trip!

March 30th, 2009 Darrell & Shannon leave for the Philippines for extended 2 year missions trip.
They will be involved in purchasing horses for tribal pastors as well as developing a ministry center in the bukidnon (mountains) of Mindanao as well as continued ministry in Evangelism Mini-Boot Camps; training & equiping pastors; mini-bible schools; orphanage volunteering; encouraging the saints and whatever the Lord has planned for them.

Please hold them up in prayer for safety, health and support for their ministry needs.

Darrell & Shannon are primarily funded by their business which just covers their basic personal needs.  However, they are in need of monthly sponsors to cover their ministry expenses for travel, evangelism training and all ministry needs.
Please consider sponsoring them by making a one-time or monthly recurring gift online.

Thank you!

DONATE HORSE TACK!

Upon our arrival in Valencia City, Bukidnon, Mindanao., we had 4 horses waiting for placement with tribal pastors.

We discovered that a majority of our horses are suffering from injuries that can easliy be solved!

Rope chaffing and scaring is a huge problem! We had to cut off the rope halter on the horse in the photo below because of excessive injuries. Once Ron put on the only halter he brought from Canada, the mare totally settled down within minutes. No pain changed her disposition!

Darrell & Shannon made every effort to locate tack of any kind in Mindanao and Cebu. However, there is NO TACK available in the Philippines! The tack they did find was imported from the US, and the owners were not interested in selling anything.

We've created a POSTER in hopes that horse people will consider donating their used horse tack for our horses in the Philippines. Halters, bridles, ropes, brushes, etc would be greatly appreciated!

*NGO Status Approved!

November 2008, Cross-Culture Ministries Philippines, Inc., obtained it's *non-goverment organization, not-for-profit status in the Republic of the Philippines.

What does this mean for Cross Culture Ministries Canada?

  1. All of our horses, vehicles and assets are now protected within the registered organization.
  2. CCM Canada can now have 1 agency agreement with our Philippines Inc, rather than multiple agent agreements with individual pastors.
  3. Overall accountability is streamlined within the 2 organizations.
  4. CCMPI may now: lease/purchase property; missionary sponsorship; all rights afforded to it by the Republic of the Philippines.

CCMPI trustees: Ronald Nelson, Darrell Nelson, Pastor Rey Margallo, Pastor Arturo Ona, Pastor Brenard Condrado.

We would like to extend our special thanks to Pastor Xercis & Grace and Pastora Liberty for all their assistance.  May God Bless you to overflowing for your service to His Kingdom!
