We graduated together from Bible School in 1982 and were married that summer.  We have three grown children, Ryan, Brent and Stephanie who attended Highroad Academy and Master's Commission.  Brent was married in Jan 2007 to our wonderful daughter-in-law Charlene (nee Beasley).

In 1989 we made Glad Tidings Fellowship [ http://www.gladtidings.bc.ca ] our home church. With a desire to be closer to the school and church we moved to Chilliwack.  Over the years we have been involved in Wee College,  music ministry, home group leaders and Alpha coordinators.

Our heart for missions goes back to Darrell's childhood and when God knitted our hearts together for missions when we were in Bible School. Although Darrell had been to Nigeria and Europe in 1982, it wasn't until 2005 when he traveled to the Philippines with his dad (Ron) and his oldest son (Ryan) that his heart was changed and charged once again for missions.

In 2006 we received the burden for the Island of Mindanao. Each year we've returned to the Philippines for 4 - 6 months at at time.  In March 2009, with the blessings of our family and leadership/church family at Glad Tidings we heeded the call and moved to Davao City, Mindanao for a 2 year commitment.
