NEW Videos!

If a picture paints a thousand words then a video must paint a million :)

Over the last couple years we have found that telling our story in person brings more clarity than reading a brochure or web site content.

Before returning home to Canada on furlough, we put together 3 short videos that will help you better understand the impact of "Tribal Horse Evangelism".

Tribal Pastors Journey - Watch as we feature Pastor Joseph as he takes his 26km journey to his tribal church.  Click to watch now. (4min)

TRIBAL PASTORS GET HORSES

October 17th Pastor Blas and Nonoy our cowboy delivered 3 horses to Pastor Japal, Pastor Rey and Pastor Salatan from Davao del Sur region of Mindanao. This marks the furthest point we have assigned horses to from our ministry base in Valencia City, Bukidnon  :)

These tribal pastors are the senior leadership of Conservative Baptist Association of the Philippines through the leadership of Pastor Tim & Gloria Hagquist of Hope Mountain / World Venture.  I thought I'd include what they posted in their web site below.

"When one thinks of missions, one usually thinks about evangelism, church planting, teaching, medical missions and more traditional forms of service, but a horse ministry certainly wouldn't usually come to mind. Here in the rugged mountains of Mindanao, besides walking, horses often provide the only mode of transportation for getting produce to market and for doing the hard labor required for farming. Life without a horse would be extremely difficult. Although many tribal farmers have horses, there are not enough nor has there been any training in basic horse care—care of hooves, proper loading, basic horse health, medications, etc.

Recently, we took five pastors to the training facility, a ministry run by missionaries, so now eight of our pastors have been trained, and we have received six horses from the ministry.  Those who have been trained are already sharing what they have learned with others in their villages in the mountains of Mindanao. One of our pastors organized an outreach to young people who have horses or want to learn about horses.

What a blessing for us to be able to work with men and women of God reaching the lost in the Philippines, and to know that even though we are on furlough the ministry continues!

In November we are planning another "Tribal Pastors Horsemanship Training Program" and will be assigning another 5 horses to tribal pastors.
Praise the Lord!!!
